The good stuff of Game of Thrones mixed with a blend of two different worlds, cultures and religions. It doesn't have the impressive visuals of GoT, nor the refined characters (at least for now), but it's more authentic, or barbaric and raw if you will, and that's the charm. So far, apart from some minor hiccups, an impressive start. ()
The pilot was undeterred. Jessalyn Gilsig as a Viking queen? Yes, please! Overall, it's the kind of show where if you want to make your wife happy, you take her along on a pillaging expedition and she's thrilled :) Ragnar Lothbrok for president! ()
The first season was a delight. A great mixture of intrigue, raw carnage, and a very interesting cast, without unnecessary tear-jerking scenes. I was totally satisfied. ()
