A Poet

In his documentary drama, director Garin Nugroho looks through Ibrahim Kadir's poems back on the events of 1965 when six Indonesian generals were assassinated and the Communist Party was accused of the crime. In brutal retaliation, almost half a million of the Communist Party supporters were annihilated while others were imprisoned. Ibrahim Kadir was one of those captured during the massacre, and chronicled the event in his poems. (Febiofest)
