In room 15 of the mysterious Roget clinic lies a young comatose murderer named Patrick. His doctor thinks he's nothing more than 170 pounds of limp meat hanging off a comatose brain, but a young nurse, Kathy (Susan Penhaligon), knows very differently. Patrick has burgeoning psychic powers and a crush on Kathy - and his affection is about to turn into a deadly and bloody obsession! (Umbrella Entertainment)

Patrick is an excellent film that shows that B-movies can be meaningful, that it's not just action, but that it has depth and good psychology along with good characters. Exactly, you get that here with a plot that is simple but very well executed. I'd heard a lot about Patrick before I saw it, and I'd seen the remake, but the original film definitely didn't disappoint me, and it didn't feel like it was showing its age either. ()
