Desperate to get away from the city two couples take off for a tranquil weekend in the English countryside. It's not long before the pleasant atmosphere is perforated by a wounded stranger who claims to have been attacked. Upon further investigation they learn that a brutal killer, who leaves his victims hanging from trees like trophies from an apocalypse, is stalking the nearby woods.
