Several months after the events of Gantz, Kurono (Ninomiya Kazunari) faces an impending alien invasion under the order of Gantz, a mysterious giant black orb. As he closes in on the magical “100” score to resurrect his friends, young pop star Eriko is being secretly ordered by Gantz to carry out assassinations, and cop Shigeta inches closer towards finding out the truth about the invading aliens. The established trend continues and the story gets even more complicated, which hasn't been particularly clear up to this point due to the large number of unknowns. Well, honestly, I hope the outcome of the manga will be somewhat better than the outcome of this live-action version. It's not really worth it, although the action scenes are good. It needs to play a bit more emotionally, but I don't know why I can't get under the skin of this film. Yes, the ending is literally epic, but I can't help feeling like the potential of the manga was wasted incredibly quickly here. Still, slightly better than the first film.
