Katheryn Winnick stars as a journalism grad student who attempts to track down a vengeful killer (Nicholas Tucci) with the help of her detective father (Kevin Pollak) and a shrink (Bruce Dern). Billed as a genre piece in the spirit of Se7en and The Silence of the Lambs, it starts with an intruder breaking into a teenager's home and telling her to choose which of her parents he will kill. The first scene set expectations for an above-par, atmospheric and uncompromising slasher movie, but that good impression unfortunately fizzled out with time. It’s fairly well made, but the plot is not interesting at all and the female lead is annoying. In the end, I got something between strong two stars and weak three, but there are some signs of talent, so perhaps next time Marcus Graves will do a better job.
