Only the likes of Russell and Gwenn could create such lively and fun-loving merriment. Russell plays the stuffy dean of a women's college with a serious attitude that leaves her with little time to pursue romance. That is until a malicious reporter decides to start some nasty rumors regarding her and visiting astronomy professor Milland, for which Russell holds the baffled Milland responsible. As the dean's father, Gwenn steps in and decides that it's time his daughter devoted herself to something other than books and teaching, seeing Milland as the perfect catalyst for his plan. Russell was perhaps the one actress with the skill to approach such a role and still maintain her dignity while doing so. She had a charming complement in Gwenn, who was just as tender and loving as ever. (official distributor synopsis)
