Delighted to get a job as a cleaner on the night shift at High Hopes Hospital, Lisa soon realises that the institution houses unhinged patients and intimidating staff. To make matters worse there is rumours of unexplainable activity in one of the wards. As the madhouse environment threatens to overwhelm Lisa's sanity she decides to investigate the supernatural occurrences and in doing so uncovers the mysterious history of the institution and its inmates. The movie "The Amityville Asylum" should have had a fairly good starting point at the very least to create a sufficiently good atmosphere that would captivate and scare you throughout. But that would require a slightly more capable filmmaker. The image and sound here don't meet in the right synergistic connection, the editing doesn't work, and on top of that, there are actors whose performances are... well, bad. Let's not be completely mean. The connection to mythology is sterile, but that's basically normal within the series and wouldn't be such a big deal. The problem is rather that the revelation isn't interesting and is simply expected.
