Nándor Lerner, a rich and successful architect, sets out to hand in the plan documentation of a prospective sports centre, and to win the tender on that very day. In a small street he is blocked by a dustcart, a young Gypsy lands on his windscreen, and his car disappears. Without papers and police help, he starts investigating in his awkward way. He gets to Veréb, who first beats him up with his two friends, considering him a conceited bighead, then mixes him up in their own affairs, but also helps him. When it turns out that the whole plot was arranged by his rival, Nándi combines with Veréb and his friends, followed by the police, to arrive in the nick of time to free Nándi's girlfriend Zita. After this he wins the tender, and they all celebrate together, along with the Romas turned into buddies. (SPI)
