In the game of life, you can't lose 'em all. Disheartened attorney Mike Flaherty (Paul Giamatti), who volunteers as a high school wrestling coach, stumbles across a star athlete through some questionable business dealings while trying to support his family. Just as it looks like he will get a double payday, the boy's mother shows up fresh from rehab and flat broke, threatening to derail everything. Paul Giamatti is a great actor and with Win Win he proved it again. Thanks to him, but also thanks to the other actors, this film is presented in a way that keeps you entertained. Even though it's about growing up, about how we can fuck up our lives, it's presented in such a way that you won't feel like you've seen this a hundred times before.
