Underbelly (2008)

English Given that the entirety of the series describes a century of crime in Australia, I chose to just two retro series and I have no regrets. Razor from 1927-1936 and Squizzy from 1915-1927. ()

Razor (2011) (S04)

English So far, I'm only watching Underbelly: Razor (13/13), but that series itself works as a great competitor to Boardwalk Empire. The years 1927-1936 in Sydney are an old familiar story of organized crime, prohibition, brothels... But this time spiced up by the fact that two lovely women were in charge. Let's say a prayer for Danielle Cormack and her beautiful legs and accent. The Roaring 20s in Aussie Sydney, ruled by two queens - Kate Leigh with her liquor and coke sales and Tilly Devine with her red lanterns. Oh, and by the way, you learn about local criminal history. In the end, tears of happiness from the perfect experience are on their way. That’s for 2011. ()

Squizzy (2013) (S06)

English The year 2013 features Underbelly: Squizzy (8/8) - a Melbourne Gangster from 1915 to 1927. The first popular Aussie gangster and his career. There’s a great opening - it started with simple robberies, but very quickly turned into a gang war. Who will own the city? A future movie star or his three mistresses? I'd vote for the ladies. ()
