Two Ocean's trilogy veterans - Matt Damon and director Steven Soderbergh reteam for a snappy skewering of big business based on the true story of the highest ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history. Damon plays Mark Whitacre, whip smart and immensely likable even as his schemes to expose corporate honchos illegally fixing the price of food additives become increasingly untethered. Pay attention to the fun and intrigue of The Informant! and be informed! (Roadshow Entertainment)

English An endearing film whose cleverly written screenplay lets the cunning Matt Damon lead the audience around as cleverly as the executives of the company that employs him and the clueless FBI agents. The Informant! is sympathetically paced, has a great soundtrack (Mark Hamlisch even hilariously quotes his The Spy Who Loved Me at some points) and, with the exception of the title role, is full of new faces who act very decently, with the charismatic Scott Bakula as Agent Shepard leading the pack. English What I appreciated most about the film was Matt Damon in the role of a dumbass. That’s the way I see him every time, so I had no problem believing him. However, the managers and accountants at ADM must have been even dumber to let this individual steal five, I mean seven point seven, I mean nine and a half, no, eleven and a half million dollars. The movie dragged a bit at times. Too much Matt Damon for my taste, I guess. ()
