New Yorker Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) puts his dead-end job as a jingle writer in jeopardy to attend his daughters wedding in London. Yet on arrival, his daughter tells him she's asked her stepfather to walk her down the aisle. Lonely Kate (Emma Thompson), a 40-something woman whose life is limited to work, the occasional humiliating blind date and endless phone calls from her smothering mother, meets Harvey at the airport bar and they soon find themselves happily thrust into an unexpected romance. The growing connection between the pair inspires both as they begin to transform one anothers lives and discover that its never too late for love. (Icon Home Entertainment)

English About a different generation, for a different generation, with the most predictable possible course from beginning to end, and yet it manages to captivate, especially thanks to the central duo. I trusted them both without reservation, which is the alpha and omega of everything in this type of film. ()
