Franklyn weaves a tale of four lost souls set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and a futuristic metropolis ruthlessly governed by faith and religious fervour: Preest (Ryan Phillippe). a masked vigilante detective hunting his nemesis: Esser (Bernard Hill), a broken man searching for his wayward son: Milo (Sam Riley) a heartbroken thirty-something trying to find his way back to the purity of first love and Emilia (Eva Green) a beautiful art student whose suicidal art projects are increasingly deadly. As their worlds collide, a single bullet will determine their destiny. (Icon Home Entertainment)

Undercooked. Slightly better visuals and more "narrative" would have given Franklyn the juice it needed. But on the other hand, this is a low-budget directorial debut, so "technically" I guess it really couldn't have been better. ()
