An ordinary family on the surface, the Hamiltons have been recently orphaned and the eldest, David Hamilton has taken it upon himself to raise the brood out on the fringes of regional Northern California. The youngest Francis has started documenting random scenes around the home with an old video camera. Gradually, the viewfinder reveals nefarious undercurrents, strange agendas and a growing malevolence in the twins Wendell and Darlene who are up to their fangs in trouble. (Accent Film Entertainment)

A pretty well executed horror drama about a not entirely normal family. It’s a pity that they never try to build an atmosphere, because the first scene hints at how it could have worked. For an undemanding audience, however, it should be enough. It’s not getting a higher rating due to the lack of a tense, unexpected or otherwise more interesting ending. 50%
