English Another unnecessary and cheap Stephen King adaptation that wasn't even saved by Samuel L. Jackson, who has a weak moment (Big Game), not to mention John Cusack, whose career peak ended in 2003 with the excellent Identity. Cell had potential in a premised that remained untapped because who cares about zombie horror today without blood and make-up effects? No one. The film also suffers from poorer visuals and poor digital effects, the action is sparse and there is only boredom, disappointment, annoyance and a bitter taste in the mouth. Not recommended. 25%. English "Cell" isn't among King's most successful books, and it kind of blends into his bibliography. It could be expected then that the film, which was awaited for quite some time, wouldn't be anything special either. Essentially, it's a variation on the zombie theme, with some original elements, but in the film adaptation, it's simply boring with dull moments. ()
