A miserable woman gets to an Italian nunnery. On her deathbed she leaves her child with the nuns. Thus Beata grows up to be a slender beauty, gifted with a beautiful voice. It is her heart's wish to become a nun. In the meantime count Martino enjoys life and outrages his relatives and acquaintance with his permanent buffoonery. When he first sees Beata taking milk to town, his lust awakens. When looking for the girl he has a serious car-accident. Beata nurses the young man. The novice is also attracted to him, but her devotion to her chosen carrier proves to be stronger. (official distributor synopsis)
