A 10-years-old boy TONI and his girl classmate SUVI find a bunch of strange creatures, locked in a deserted warehouse. The resemble ancient dinosaurs – but walk, talk and love to play rock and roll. That's why they call themselves the HEAVYSAURS. They are held in captivity by a greedy businessman MAXIM, who plans to turn the creatures into the main attraction to his new investment, an amusement park. Toni and Suvi, not the best friends but forced to spend time together by their parents, unite to save the creatures. But that is easier said than done. Kind at heart but simple and completely unused to the human world, the Heavysaurs end up in trouble with every step they take. The kids take the creatures under their wing only to find out that the creatures have a gigantic appetite and very clumsy moves. It is evident that the dinosaur and human lives and life-styles will collide, hard, and a lot of amusing and heart-warming incidents happen as they get to know each other. But evil Maxim and his two henchmen are pursuing the kids and the saurs. So Toni and Suvi put aside their disagreements and join forces to save the Heavysaurs. And when the going gets rough, the creatures find their courage and save the kids in turn... Maxim loses the struggle and the Heavysaurs are free to do what they love the most: play rock and roll – and even earn money. The kids become friends, not only with each other, but also with these literally larger-than-life, lovable creatures – The Heavysaurs. (official distributor synopsis)
