The film adapts a true story from the beginning of the 70s. A young psychopath worker works strenuously, learns and starves for the few "princely" days when he can change his identity to show off. He wants to be loved, so he throws money about. Under the pseudonym of Viktor Edman, Greek diplomat, he pays for luxury dinners, drives fine ladies in his friend, the driver's elegant car, but disappears before the consequent engagement. He gets rid of Kati, Ilona, and Veronika, but falls in love with the cold and beautiful Karácsony Zsuzsa. He is unable to leave her on time and the calculating woman finds out that he is not at the embassy. The cornered "Greek" kills her with a razor while on a walk and gives himself up.
