For decades, a film by Guy de la Valdene and Christian Odasso existed mostly as a kind of legend. The two French filmmakers shot Tarpon in 1972, capturing the mesmerizing rhythms of an ethical brand of catch-and-release fishing in the Florida Keys. In this case, the fishermen included Thomas McGuane, Jim Harrison and Richard Brautigan and a score composed by Jimmy Buffett. (Telluride Film Festival)
