Szarka, a third-grade highschool girl, is fed up with missing any success at home, as well as with the boys, and therefore she hitchhikes to Lake Balaton. There she makes friends with Barbi, the superwoman, who, despite her luxury environment, wants to prove to her parents and to her boyfriend that she is able to look after herself. She sells her luxury car, and subsequently, both wearing a pair of canvas trousers, she takes Szarka along on a journey as far as Crete. They work hard, flirt, quarrel, in Rome they even become rivals, and at last earn the money for the return ticket by dancing in a bar. Szarka, namely, is keen on getting back home in time to meet her parents who are about to visit her at Lake Balaton. Once again nothing extraordinary has happened to her this summer – she tells her unwitting parents. (Budapest Film)
