Iván Székely is a celebrated young star, the hero of cover pages. His manager Andrea arranges for every minute of his day, even on his birthday. Beside the endless recordings of ads and TV-shows, the rehearsals of Chekhov's The Seagull become absolutely secondary, whereas Iván insists on the stage role he deserves. The climax of the day is his showing up at the charity gala organized for the Sports Hall. The departure for the dress rehearsal is delayed by annoying incidents, and arriving at the site he runs across his love Orsi. While the two lovers cautiously try to refurbish their relationship, Andrea keeps „selling" the star, and he is shamelessly being bargained about. Iván leaves the rat race at the dress rehearsal by resorting to a trick learnt from his former teacher. In the ambulance car Orsi is sitting by him. (Budapest Film)
