Determinism is a philosophical belief that everything is only a result of previous events and wouldn’t exist without proper cause. Wouldn’t it then be appropriate to stop analysing the unexpected situations in life from time to time? A short story about a grandpa and his grandson playing chess, touching on the subject of the grandson’s lifestyle, refers to the aforementioned philosophical belief. (FamuFest)
