The dying master of the powerful Poison Clan dispatches his last pupil on a crucial mission. This is like a balm for the soul of an action movie fan. It's a joy to watch, and even though it's often very apparent that it's more about stunts and a bit of acrobatics than martial arts, it still looks incredibly impressive, and the wall running scenes are brilliantly shot. It doesn't even occur to you that it's not possible. The 70s and 80s simply had the best kung fu movies ever made.
