Five men keeping together, five fates in the army. Cövek, the idol of women, competes in drinking to be able to get hold of a new stamp. He is killed by a straying bullet. Menyus, the oldest among them, accidentally meets up with his father, who is faithful to the Germans. The teen-ager Csaba falls in love with a girl who is carried away by the Russians.
