Plots(1)

As part of the Soviet Union's first anti-religion campaign, this film tells the story of Hakima, who becomes pregnant after being raped by the imam Abdu-Nabi. When, years later, the "holy man" turns his gaze to his biological daughter Oinasa, Hakima attempts to protect her, fighting in the process against what, in the eyes of the Soviets, were nothing but religious lies.
