This is the city and only Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks can save it in this hilarious box-office blockbuster that pays homage to the famed original police drama of the 50s and 60s. I quite enjoyed the stylization of both actors, so for me, Aykroyd and Hanks carried the film well, which presents itself a bit like noir, and a bit like a modern crime story. But it's all presented as parody, or at least comedy with plenty of exaggeration. The story is a bit too simple, but that didn't bother me that much.
