English I expected a movie depicting the life of one of the biggest mafiosi to have a bit more momentum and a much more suspenseful atmosphere. If I exaggerate a bit, I could say that this seemed like a slightly languid bedtime lullaby. The casting of Harvey Keitel in the pivotal role of the aging crime boss Meyer Lansky was a great choice.
