Marcos Martinez is a filmmaker and photographer. He studied Communication Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, Photojournalism in FOTOTEA and Film Directing at the CIEVYC. He made with Hernan Lucas a documentary video Social produced with images of wedding parties, baptisms and communions; Building made entirely with images of security cameras and Cold House documentary essay on Argentine cinema during the last military dictatorship. In 2007, he made the film Stars co-directed by Federico León. Stars won four awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the International Competition of BAFICI IX; the “Best Film” award at the Second Film Festival Tucumán and the “Critics Award” in the III Documentary Film Festival San Pablo.
