Biography
Pete Travis (Stalford, UK) is a British director who devoted his early career primarily to television production. He is responsible for several episodes of "Cold Feet" (1999) and contributed to numerous other series and television shows. He directed six episodes of "The Jury" (2002) and also the feature film Omagh (2004), which won the Discovery Award in Toronto and a BAFTA for Best TV Drama. Travis’s first studio film, Vantage Point (2008), with Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Fox and Sigourney Weaver, was a box-office hit. His subsequent Endgame (2009) was shown at Sundance. Dredd (2012), an adaptation of the famous comic-book series issued since the late 1970s, saw Travis’s return to the festival in Toronto.
