Biography
Born in Myanmar and based in Taiwan, filmmaker Midi Z directed several feature films including Return to Burma (2011), screened at Locarno, Poor Folk (2012), Ice Poison (2014), which was the official Taiwan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards, and City of Jade (2016). The Road to Mandalay was awarded the Fedeora award at Venice.
